How we work

Before you pitch, here is what you would be pitching into. A seat here is smaller, faster, and a lot more yours than most studios.

More about the studio
  • 1

    You own real work

A small team means no busywork and nowhere to hide. You ship things players actually touch.

  • 2

    Decisions in hours

The person who can say yes sits right there. We move in days, not quarters.

  • 3

    Players come first

Your work goes to the community before it goes live. Feedback is fast and honest.

What makes us say yes

Job titles matter less than these. If most of this sounds like you, we want to hear from you.

  • You finish things. A small game that ships beats a huge one that never does.
  • You care how games feel. You can say exactly why one jump feels better than another.
  • You know Roblox or you learn fast and can show you do.
  • You have taste. You know when something is done and when it only looks done.
  • You take feedback well and give it straight. Our players will, so you should too.
  • You make your own stuff. Side projects, mods, tiny games. Show us what you do for fun.

How to pitch

No forms and no portals. Send us three things in one email and you are on the list.

1

Show what you have made

Link the thing you are proudest of. A game, a build, a clip, a repo. One great link beats a long CV.

2

Tell us what you would build

One idea you would love to make with us, or one thing about Shoplifters you would change and why.

What a seat comes with

New York or remote

We are based in New York and work with great people wherever they are. Come by the studio or work from home.

Real ownership

A real stake in the games you help ship. When the studio wins, you win.

Time to polish

We plan for the last ten percent. You will not be rushed to ship something half done.

Get on the list.

No opening today does not mean no opening soon. Pitch us now and you will be first to hear when a seat opens.
